In the article, “California is Burning,” (Upfront, 2018) I learned that California goes through wildfires every year. California has had wildfires for many years but each year they get more intense. Climate change is the main cause for these wildfires. Climate change has increased heat waves and droughts which is making everything dry which creates the wildfires that are happening. Wildfires are only going to get worse if climate change continues to get worse too. 

I believe that this is something really scary. Wildfires continue to ruin lives of others, many people have lost their homes and everything they need because of this. Wildfires continue to pollute the air which is very unhealthy. I believe that we can stop these wildfires from increasing if we really try.

How can we start preventing wildfires?
