Many people think they don’t have to go to school and they think that they just go to learn.

Going to school pays off because you end up getting a career and getting paid more money rather than working in a place where you earn less like a McDonalds or Walmart.

If you don’t do good in school then you won’t be able to get the career that you wanted as a kid and won’t be able to get a good house to live in and not too happy with what you did wrong. B

I’m going to keep studying and get better on tests and go to college so I can get a career.

Kevin,
I do completely agree with your statements. School is necessary to excel in the future. However, I believe that we as a society need to stop thinking of school as just another hurdle on the way to adulthood, and embrace it as a formative process. Kids often stay in school simply because of the reasons you stated, the necessity of diplomas to get jobs. I believe students should stay in school because of the things that happen there. School should be a place where kids enjoy going to learn, to be exposed to new channels of thought and challenge themselves. Unfortunately, this is often not the case. I believe our education system needs a major reworking, so it can benefit students in the moment, not just in the future.

i do agree that you should go to school because it is important for your future, to have a decent career, working less and making good healthy money, but i feel that we do go to school to just learn, we all go to school to learn because teachers don’t give us that much of enthusiasm to learn or to come to school…

I agree. You have to go to school in order to get a good job to get good money in the future to by your own house and etc. Not only you leaving your house to go to school you no stuck at home doing nothing. You going outside and getting to know more people and make friends.

Dear kevin
I agree with what you said in your comment,
I think that school is very important. You need to go to school so that you can get a career that you want, if you don´t go to school, you won´t get a career that you want if you don´t go to school you will probably end up with a low paying job and you won´t be happy with your salary and won´t be able to afford what you want.

i understand that studying is a crucial thing for development of a career, but the idea of experience should be implemented. to know the world and how it works is also important.

I totally agree. School provides each individual with the basic education, skills, and guidance they need for a bright future. This is especially true for high school and college, both of which allows us to pursue high paying jobs. In fact, pretty much all high paying jobs these days requires going through the modern education process.

Kevin you are right about education and it’s benefits but It’s not black and white. There are other factors that may play into why a kid may be truant. Like Tommy said, cultural and finical barriers may make it hard for a student to attend school. Also there might be some social factors that play into students being truant. We are privileged to have access to education in the United States, and of course we should take advantage of this privilege but for some students its easier said than done.

Hi Kevin,
I feel going to school has several benefits, but at times, going to school can be hard. If English is not your first language, many subjects might feels as they fly over your head. Also, sometimes, a family really needs a third, if not small, financial supporter. But overall, if you have access to school, always take it.
