I decided to research the psychology behind why we, as society, are so intrigued by the idea of fame and celebrities. In an article title “Oscar Psychology: Why Celebrities Fascinate Us – Live Science” it explains that sometimes people become fascinated with celebrities because they are having their own identity crisis. They check up on their favorite celebrities, read about them and like and comment on their posts to ease the feeling of loneliness. However, this is not a very new concept. If we look back to the 1800s we see that even then people wanted to know every detail about the royal families lives. This idea of the elite will continue to fascinate the public as an escape from everyday life. https://nowcomment.com/documents/135146
