Ever since I was very young I hated people telling me what to do which is why I have always wanted to be my own person and boss. I think that learning leadership skills are very beneficial for people because it shows them how to act on their own and build communities. According to the article I read called “The Importance Of Learning Leadership at a Young Age” some benefits of learning how to be a leader are that it gives you better problem-solving skills “They must look at all the variables, opportunities, and resources available and find a creative solution”. If we focus on developing these skills from a young age then I think that it would greatly benefit our younger generation to have a better mindset of what they can and can not do.
Just by listening to what they have to say I can improve their trust in me and build a better relationship. I also think that learning to handle my failure better will help me become more confident and will allow me to make mistakes. One of the main benefits that come from learning how to be a leader in the team-building skills and communication skills you get because in order to be a leader you have to be able to communicate with everyone. I also believe that learning how to be a leader is important because it takes discipline, listening, and you have to be able to learn from your mistakes. According to the University of The People, it is important to be there for your people “good leaders are open to hearing feedback, criticism, and suggestions from their team members. This helps them to learn from their past errors”.
Are leadership skills important for you? Do you work on developing them?In conclusion, I believe that learning leadership is a very important thing that we all should be at least somewhat familiar with. If you learn how to become a leader then you learn how to listen better, how to empower people, how to learn from your mistakes, and how to be okay with your imperfections. Being a leader isn’t only about showing people what to do, it is also about learning how to be there for others when they need someone.

Something that stood out to me about your post is how you used your own personal experiences on why you need leadership skills in your life. Growing up I was the same way. I wanted to be my own person and not be told what to do. I’ve always wanted to be a leader and advocate for others and myself. Being able to lead and have those skills is something you should learn growing up because there are times throughout life where you are going to have to lead whether it be by yourself or with others.
I agree that learning to be a leader helps your listening skills and learning from your mistakes. To be a leader you need to be able to take suggestions and be able to work things through while listening to others opinions. You learn from your mistakes which build you up to be a better leader.

Its good that you know what leadership is and what it means to you. Knowing that there is people that you can look up to is great. in life we all know someone who is our leader. Leadership can mean many things to different people and to me is to be someone who guides someone to the right way. When having a business of any kind leadership is the biggest thing is leadership and the way you guide the people who look up to you. Looking up to someone who created a business is very important because they see what kind of person you are.
Your own personal touch on why leadership skills are important is very relatable. At some point everyone wants to be their own leaders but some lack the skills or understanding for not only being a leader for themselves but others.
