In the article, “Should College Athletes be Paid?” I learned that college athletes get paid absolutely nothing. College athletes help the sports programs become multibillion dollar businesses and they don’t get a share of the profits. The NCAA and the college sports establishment argue that the players are “students first”. But in the end, players end up having to put in 50 hours a week on their sports and their coach is essentially their boss. Colleges get rich off their players by taking advantage of them.

I think what is happening in college sports needs to be shown and taught to the country how student athletes are being taken advantage of and not given an opportunity to support themselves. The question is why students are not allowed to make money off branding and advertising. The only probable answer is that it takes away money from the association.
