When taking a mental health day, it’s much easier to put it off then it is to actually plan it.
Setting up some kind of schedule for things like mental health is one of the hardest things for anyone to do, let alone stick to it.
In an article by Verywellmind, they lay out the basics on how to plan these kinds of days, and what to do when they arrive. They suggest many relaxing things, like attempting yoga, watching tv, and other mindless things. There is no one way to do a mental health day, but doing things you enjoy that don’t stress you out are all that matters.
Only you know what your body needs. So putting aside time to destress is super important for everyone to do.
I am impressed by your post,” When You Should Take a Mental Health Days,” because it is impressive how easy it is to stress yourself out. I think it’s quite scary how some people get their stress levels extremely high.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “They suggest many relaxing things, like attempting yoga, watching tv, and other mindless things.” I think this is interesting because these make your stress levels go down.
Thank you for writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because I would like to know what to do on stressful days. I would like to know more ways to destress myself since I am a very stressed person.
