Your mental health is your health. Your mental health is the way you see yourself your relationships and the way you handle your emotions. In the article, it talks about putting yourself first to be in a healthy mental state, physically, and emotionally. Making real social connections especially face-to-face such as having healthy relationships with your friends family or romantically. Taking care of yourself physically like staying active and eating well. Even going outside in the sun for a walk can boost your mental health. Finding a purpose in your life and having a support system. Getting enough sleep, as getting less than 6 hours of sleep a night can have high risks of depression, anxiety, and feeling irritated. Having someone you can talk to if you have stress, concerns or worries are great way of relieving your nerves, But also being a support system for someone else can help you develop wider perspectives.

Stephanie,
This is a very interesting topic. I liked how you included what can build good mental health. I also liked how you added things that might be adding to our bad mental health. The most important first step is to get good sleep and ensure you are happy. It is also good to surround yourself with good people who will lift you up rather than drag you down. https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/tips-for-everyday-living/wellbeing/
Hi Stephanie!
I found the way that you addressed this topic extremely insightful and informative. Mental health is extremely important, not only in the sense of maintaining a positive and happy lifestyle, but also because there are many factors that depend on the state of our mental well-being. Involving ourselves in practices that improve and maintain our overall mental health are extremely crucial and can help us improve other aspects of our lives such as our relationships, support systems, and our own physical health.
Stephanie, I really appreciate how you wanted to bring awareness to mental health. It’s good that you provided examples for having a good relationship with your mind and the people around you as well. I think healthy social connections and having a support system through family or friends is something that has really helped me with my own mental health struggles, so I’m glad you mentioned that.
