Hard work matters to me. The thing I hate the most is freeloading. If you don’t work for what you earn why are you okay with earning it?
This works in both ways. The wealthy of old money from their parents or grandparents worked hard, but they haven’t done anything for it.
Also, the people on welfare who don’t need to be, some accept money from the government without even looking for a job. This is being shoved under the rug in my opinion. While welfare does have benefits for some people who physically cannot get a job, but some people freeload off our tax money, and it irks me.
Dear Patrick :
I am interested with your post, “I Stand For Hard Work,” because it talks about how freeloading shouldn’t be accepted. It is unfair to the people who do actually work hard and it prevents people from learning that hard work pays off.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: The wealthy of old money from their parents or grandparents worked hard, but they haven’t done anything for it.” I think this is significant because it shows how life can be unfair sometimes because not everyone has to work hard to be successful.
Another sentence that I liked was: “ If you don’t work for what you earn why are you okay with earning it?” This stood out for me because it shows that people shouldn’t be okay with not having to work but still easily achieving something. They should not accept success if it was not earned through determination and hard work.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because of how inspiring and interesting your writing is. It shows that success should be earned rather than just handed out to anyone.
Good points. I want to challenge you to try to prove your topic with some evidence to really be able to strengthen your argument. I think that this is an interesting topic but think of the fact that all people are not able to gain education to get jobs. Some are born very poor and do not have the opportunity to get jobs.
I really agree with you. People don’t spend time doing much stuff anymore. They just want to get their work done. They don’t care if it is sloppy or bad. They want to get the job done. I really think this is a good post. You should go more in depth with your writing and explain more.
