Dear Oakland Community
I personally agree with you that Human trafficking is a tremendously serious matter because it can really happen to anybody, anywhere, at anytime. No one knows who it is, nor are they suspicious of other people, because while some people are out they just want to enjoy their days with their family, friends, and loved ones. You state that ¨Basically it’s all up to your awareness of whether or not you feel like you are in a situation in which you could become a victim of human trafficking.¨ This is very true but just like I said that the majority of people just want to go on and enjoy their days, they don’t notice these things. There really does need to be even more awareness around tons of groups of people, even in deserted areas as well.
Yet what comes after may be even more traumatizing for people. Sometimes we never notice depression, and we never talk to make sure if people are ok or not. Mental health really is a huge problem because This really can lead to other bigger problems, like seeking help from unknown sources, out all alone all the time etc. Human trafficking really is a serious thing, and its real, just because it hasn’t happened to someone, doesn’t mean that it never will, nor if they will ever experience it. I agree with Oakland Community that we need to watch out for these situations, and spread the news to take care of each other.
