There has been going around that in Florida they’re allowing ex-criminals to vote. It was part of the new amendment that anyone who has past criminal records is allowed to vote. But it is only when they complete their prison sentence even if it is one of the worst crimes they committed. Some are saying that they should because they have the right to vote. Others believe they don’t because of their past crimes.
I think it is both a good and bad idea of allowing ex-criminals to vote. The good is that they should have the rights to vote which can give them a second chance to redeem themselves. The bad is that some of the ex-criminals won’t change and won’t be trusted when they have the chance to vote. But still, they should still have the right to vote even if they committed crimes and change, but for some others shouldn’t if they don’t change.
Should ex-criminals have the right to vote?
