I believe that being nice will further society. I have lived seventeen years on this world which has allowed me to understand what helps others and what does not. With this knowledge I want others to understand how important being nice is and how it contributes to teamwork.
Some people wonder what the point of being nice is after all the world we live in today is a constant competition so why help the enemy? I understand that some think this way but in order to further society, we need to help others. When being nice you show others that you respect them and the person you are being nice to is also more willing to work with you. From my experience, being nice is like a virus, all it takes is one person to infect the others and just like that the people surrounding you are now working together.
Being nice is not all sunshine and rainbows though, when you are nice people tend to take advantage of you or they are rude, this has happened to me a couple of times which makes it tough to continue as I get the urge to be mean back. What keeps me from giving in to this urge is that everyone is going through something, I should not add onto it but instead, help them.
One story I would like to share that really influenced me is about my mom. My mom and I were grocery shopping and we saw another mother arguing with her kid, her and I laughed and reminisced about those days but then thought nothing of it. As we got to the check out line we saw the same mom. The other mom looked like she just fought a bear so my mom immediately started to try to cheer her up by giving compliments, parenting tips, and coupons. This totally revived the other mom and I saw a complete change in her demeanor. This act of kindness was able to change someone’s day for the better yet it seemed so easy to do.
With all of these benefits to being nice why be mean! This is my thinking in everyday life and I hope it helps influence you to be nice also. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a good day.
This post was very inspiring and it basically changed the way I think about other people and why they choose to be mean to others, thanks 😉
I agree with this guy ^^^^^^^
