In the article “The race For A Vaccine” by Patricia Smith writes about scientists are desperately trying to create a vaccine for COVID. COVID-19 affected the world and has hit the U.S. the hardest. The number of people being affected and killed keep rising. Not only has the virus affected the people but also the economy since business had to close down and millions of people lost their jobs. When the U.S. opened up the business, the number of cases rose up. Scientists have put their time and resources to develop a cure that would be safe and efficient. The process is having successful human testing, then it takes to the FDA to get approved but that can take years. Trump and U.S. lawmakers are pressuring scientists and the FDA to hurry the process of developing a cure. If the vaccine is safe an efficient things an go back the way they were.
Many people are thinking of taking the vaccine if it’s safe and others refuse to take it since a vaccine takes years to develop. But for flu shots, so many people refuse to take it because of what it contains and the flu shot has been around for years. If I was asked if I would take the vaccine I honestly wouldn’t know and wait it out. Hopefully, the vaccine is efficient and safe so things can go back to normal. Would you take the vaccine?
