My full name is Sherlyn Villano Maldonado. My mother calls me Sara. The truth is that sometimes I don’t like my name so much because of the pronunciation it has; sometimes when people ask my name, it becomes difficult for them to understand the pronunciation. They say the name Sherlyn means someone who helps people, but what I like about the name is that it has a nice meaning. According to Google, the name is unique because I have never seen or met someone with the same name as me.

My mother named me Sherlyn because when I was first born I was much smaller than the other babies. She had very small eyes and they looked Chinese. A common name that the Chinese have is Lin, that’s why my mother called me Sherlyn, although now my mother gave me my nickname Sara because in Mexico it is common for a mother to give her daughter a special name, but also some very close relatives. They call me by a different name like my grandmother who calls me by the name “Maria” The truth is that I like nicknames.
