In the article, “ Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” I learned about his legacy and how he had a national impact. The article begins with a bit of MLK’s background and what led him to become a powerful speaker who believed in making a change. It mentions how he used his position to fight against racial inequality by organizing marches and boycotts which opened the eyes of people and inspired many. He fought for years in an effort to move the country toward equal rights for all.

What do you think about MLK´s accomplishments?

I think it´s very honorable that Martin Luther King dedicated years of his life and brought communities together in order to fight for the rights of all Americans. He shared his dream of freedom and equality with the world and through it, he was able to make a change. What´s even more honorable is that he did this peacefully and without being violent.
