Stand and rise, don’t let people tell you what to do

We have our rights, don’t tear them down

We are not your maid, your housewife, your bitches, sluts, whores

We will stand, march so we can be who we want to be

How do you effect our life?

You limit us, digress us, tell us we can’t do something, take away our rights

We the women, will march, protest, and tell you you’re wrong

Just to prove that yes, we are strong

We can do it

We got people into space, we march at our own pace

To the beating of our own drum, march to the beat

We will not be silenced by actions of your mouth

Your pen, your brain, even the sun and moon can’t stop us

We will march for as long as it takes

We will not be silenced

We are writing for women’s rights

And we will not give up the fight

This is a very powerful poem and it is much needed in times like these!
