Traditional art and Digital art

In the article ¨Is digital art fake?¨ I learned that digital art and traditional art are not so different from one another. They both need the art skills to know how to draw traditional art and digital art. The traditional art is easier to master but does take some time to do so. For a digital artist it needs more skulls and even some form of knowledge of computers to know how to draw digitizing. There are people saying that digital art is easier to do than traditional art but I say they are wrong because digital art needs more skulls to do and it’s more time consuming to do than doing traditional art. In the end they both need a form of art skills to draw digitizing and traditional.

I think that digital art does have some advantages over traditional art. Digital is more easy to carry, easy to publish and share, easy to be printed in many places, and most importantly, easier to be corrected than traditional. Traditional does not have so much time consuming then digital art also traditional art is more easier to draw, plus you will have Hands-on Experiences which digital art need as well. Overall both need a skill of art to be able to draw traditional art and digital art.

What’s considered art nowadays?

In the article, “Is Digital Art Fake?” (Susannah, Mcgraw Hill) I learned that many people believe some things are considered art and some aren’t. In this article, many believe digital art isn’t really an art and is way easier to do. The author believes this is completely untrue which I also firmly believe. Whilst both have many different characteristics there are still challenges in both and are both time-worthy. You also have to understand how to use a computer and use different techniques both online and in person.

I think these points are very true and that there is talent in both. Both have their challenges and aren’t as easy as many people think. You have to learn all the techniques of how to use brushes, pencils, and so much more. For online you have to understand how to blend things online and still add detail. There are so many aspects to both art and technology that it is a lot to learn.

What are some other forms of art?

Art Made Out of Pollution

In the article, “10,000 Pieces of Plastic”(Upfront) I learned about the environmentalists in Indonesia in the town of Gresik who have gotten thousands of plastic pieces and made it into art. They did this to show the world the effects of plastic waste being polluted in our world. The pollution can have huge effects on marine life, killing them and harming their homes. Scientists have claimed there to be 8 million metric tons of plastic that go into our oceans every year. Making this piece was to hope to change people’s minds of their habits that come with dealing with plastic.

I think that this is a beautiful piece to show how bad pollution is for our seas. I hope people see how much this waste goes into the ocean and can try to change their habits to help our planet. It is crazy to see that 8 MILLION METRIC TONS of plastic go into our oceans every year its really bad. I think we should try to minimize our use of plastic in our daily lives and improve the way we treat our ocean. This art piece was to make people aware so lets become aware and start making a change.

What are some ways you can help stop the pollution in our waters or ways in your personal life that you can change to minimize the amount of plastic you use?
