There are a lot of different plans and initiatives being set in place by a multitude of different organizations and even the government. The article also had important ideas and stated different agendas for our future, agendas made by the UN’s secretary-general as well as an agenda for 2030 mainstreamed across all SDGs. 

As a part of the UN secretary general’s 5-year agenda, he made sustainable transportation a part of it. August of 2014 he assigned a group of officials to investigate and understand sustainable transportations and different focuses such as road, rail, aviation, marine, ferry, and urban public transport providers, and ways to make these even more efficient. 

The focus of the agenda set for 2030 is mainly on food security, health, energy, economic growth, infrastructure, and cities and human settlements, all of which have serious problems and impacts surrounding those main ideas.
