In the article, “YOU DECIDE: Raising the Minimum wage by admin ” (BTW) I learned that people often debate on raising the minimum wage because there can be pros and cons of the situation. This situation has been caused because raising the minimum wage and how it could have a negative impact on the economy or help support families to buy more material which is a positive thing. This has been a debate to many people but I personally believe raising the minimum wage is good because as life goes on materials and food are increasing. Some examples to illustrate this is According to a study released recently by the Congressional Budget Office, raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2025 would give 17 million Americans a raise and lift roughly 900,000 Americans out of poverty.
I think raising the minimum wage is a huge topic. This topic can go on for a while because there can be many good effects raising the minimum wage but also negative effects also.
