In the article, " Will The Dollar go Digital?" I learned that the U.S is in the early stages of developing a central bank digital currency (C.B.D.C), some experts are excited about the idea. This situation has been caused by the U.S wanting to test out digital currency since it is being used elsewhere. It has also been caused because technology is expanding and the government wants to expand money by technology. Some examples to illustrate their situation are as a prize, someone got to test out the country's new digital currency.
I think what is happening or what is going to happen in the U.S with digital currency is kind of scary. I think this because it's scary how the government can know everything the people buy or do. I honestly wouldn't like the idea of digital currency because I wouldn't like the government to know everything I'm doing. I wouldn't like this because it would feel intruding to one's privacy.
