Dear Douglas:
I am moved by your poem “Running Up A Mountain” because of the similarities we both share. I too have parents who put me in a position to become successful. My parents as well as yours understand what hard work really means and why we should take advantage of the opportunities presented to us.
One sentence that stands out to me is: “I am from running up a mountain to achieve goals and expectations.” I think this is motivational because it shows that you want to become better and I do my best in surrounding myself with people with the same motives. I too am always striving to become a better version of myself.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because of the similarities we share. I would also like for you to share a long-term goal of yours.
