Exams often do little more than measure a person’s ability to take exams. Should exams be outlawed in favor of another form of assessment? This is a large issue in the world today as many institutions and colleges and universities use Exam scores such as the SAT and the ACT to measure how well a student is doing academically. There are pros and cons to exams. But most people develop extreme stress and even anger issues over exams and exam prep. These develop further into health issues. I plan on addressing both sides and showing which option would be of more benefit. Ill make sure I have plenty of sources showing the pros and cons of having exams and not having exams. If I can prove that one side is better than the other I can add to the conversation and hopefully schools and institutions and students will see this and add their input and or opinion.

What is your side of this issue?

if you’re against having exams what solution would you propose?

if you’re for Exams do you think they could be improved?

Hey Sean, I think this is a great idea for a paper. This idea has more than enough information create the long informative essay we are looking for. Not only should you look into whether or not tests help, but the alternative options too.
I don’t think standardized testing is the route to judge how well students are doing, but what’s our other option? I did a piece on this for the paper last year, so let me know if you ever want to use it. Nice beginning Sean, and good luck!
