In the article “Puerto Rican from Brooklyn” (McGraw Hill) I learned that coming from a place that u never visited before but it’s still your hometown makes you wonder if one day you’re going to visit that place. This is an amazing situation because it makes you wonder where you are from and the background of it. Some examples of it are “such as the Spanish language, or Puerto Rican food like rice and beans. I can’t remember the first time my mother told me about Puerto Rico, but I’ve seen many pictures online.” The backgrounds of foods and languages.

I think this is an amazing situation because we would know what language your parents learned first. The favorite foods that your parents make from their hometown. The favorite things that your parents like and favorite sports to play.

Does it make you wonder from your background?
