In the article ¨Public Health Approach to Gun Violence Prevention¨I learned that gun violence has a major effect on communities around the country and people are scared for their lives. This is a very sensitive topic because there are thousands of cases every year where people lost their loved ones to gun violence. These deaths can be preventable with public health because there is great evidence that can prove this since it would help the well-being and their mental state. Americans are impacted by various forms of gun violence including suicide, homicide, unintentional deaths, as well as nonfatal gunshot injuries, threats, and exposure to gun violence in communities and society.

This is a very important problem that America is facing and we are still trying to fix it for a long time but it is very difficult on what actions should happen. The research they have is they are able to reduce or prevent any injuries. There are thousands of years wasted by the lives that are lost leaving pain and suffering to families.

As I continue to research about gun violence I hope to learn what the other side’s opinion on why they should not.
