In the article, “Universal Healthcare Pros and Cons” (ProCon.Org 2019) I learned that there are many Pros and Cons to if there should be Universal Healthcare in the U.S.. One pro that there is for Universal Healthcare is the United States already has universal healthcare for some, so the government should expand to protect everyone. There are also of course cons to the situation though also. One con about universal healthcare is that universal healthcare for everyone in the United States promises only government inefficiency and health care that ignores the realities of the country and the free market.
I think that no matter what side you are on there are always going to be pros and cons. For situations like this we may want one thing that unfortunately cannot be done because it would outweigh or disturb another part of the whole puzzle of our medical system.
As I continue to learn about healthcare and our medical system, I want to know more about if there are any situations where certain possibilities like free healthcare could occur.
