Now don’t get me wrong,Pokémon Go is a great game. I have probably been outside a maximum time of 10 hours walking around my neighborhood. But my personal opinion for the game is not really great.

Too many kids are dying from it. Now I know that it isn’t Niantics fault, but it just needs to stop. Niantic should keep a big sign on the top so it annoys the players

This is my personal opinion on Pokémon Go. I hope that Niantic takes this into consideration.

I don’t think you should blame pokemon go for childern dying while playing, it gives warnings and it is common sense not to walk into the street even if you see a rare pokemon. I agree it isn’t great but don’t blame the game for the players actions.

Hey Martin,
I understand the concern you have for the safety of players of this game. However, in my opinion, your solution is too simple and unrealistic. Seeing as this game is Niantic’s greatest success to date, it would be absurd for them to just purposely kill the game they worked so hard to create and promote. Instead, advise about player safety could be contained within the game, but to think that Niantic is just going to kill the game is foolish and unrealistic, and for that matter unfair even for the players of the game who have put so much time into it. It all really comes down to people themselves being more careful and responsible while playing the game.

Dear Martin This post is very wrong it is in no way Niantics fault it is the player’s fault because on the loading screen it says to watch your surroundings and it gives several warnings.

Martin,
I strongly think that you are right.
I read an article about a wanted person who walked into the police office to catch a pokemon in pokemon go. I don’t know what that pokemon was but indeed I can see that its a costly one.

So my point is that it is spoiling children. I never even tried playing it at the firs time; I would have got addicted to it.

It has to stop. Not only kids but also adults. I saw many people in a college campus at night walking around catching pokemons. I personally thought that was insane.

The company should do something about it. Like having the player set a timer so that they are aware of the time commitment they are making. Or putting up a disturbing sign as you said.

Great job on choosing a really current, interesting topic for your first post! I think you have a really interesting point of view and I agree that it is unfortunate that this game has caused people to get hurt. I think by including more information and support to your claim, your piece would be even stronger! Something to think about is whether this negative would be worth it to completely change or get rid of the app.

I understand your concern about Pokemon go because I have expressed that in the past with friends and family. A lot of people are injured because they aren’t paying attention to their surroundings. However, it also has some good things. I know some people who have lost weight because Pokemon go is making them get out of the house and exercise. Do you think the game should be banned because of the injuries that have happened?

Dear Martin,

I am interested in your post about Pokemon. The reason why is because I am a huge fan of Pokemon myself. I get what you’re trying to say but it’s the kid’s fault they are getting into trouble. When logging onto the game it says, “Warning, pay attention to your surroundings” so it clearly states to be careful when hunting Pokemon. Also, kids shouldn’t be even having a phone at a young age, but that’s a whole other argument.

Martin- I think that this is a very interesting point of view of this game. I agree that it is a game that has caused a lot of accidents and many people have gotten injured as a result. But I believe that you need to add more evidence and facts to this post to make your opinion stronger and more persuasive. This is a good start but I think you can build upon it and make this a very influential piece of writing.

Dear Martin.
I found your topic is very interesting saying how video games give a huge effect to human lives, especially Pokemon Go, but I think you should be more specific about how it gives influences to children and how you want Niantics to fix this problem.
Personally, I don’t play Pokemon Go, but I realize this game also brings benefits to players that they actually spend time doing some exercise, not sitting in front of pc for a whole day, not much but less. In my opinion, it depends pretty much on people’s perceptions.
My pleasure reading your article, I’ll look forward for what you’re going to post next time.
Have a good weekend.
