My name is Mary Hernandez, I am the owner of a garden heights neighborhood corner store. My condolences to the family, as a witness of police brutality. I am deeply troubled by the use of excessive force and violence on individuals who are supposed to be protected by local law enforcement but are instead crushed. My experience has made me aware of the need for increased accountability and transparency in police practices. It is important that incidents of police brutality are thoroughly investigated. As a member of the community, I believe that we must work towards a system of policing that prioritizes public safety and respect of the human rights of all individuals no matter the color of their skin.
