I am offering my love to you,
since I have nothing else to offer.
Keep it close like a frightened child,
scared of the dark and monsters in the closet
Keep it close like a fond memory,
one too precious to lose.
I love you,
I have nothing else to give you,
so it is a warm and comforting blanket,
to keep chills and sickness away.
It is a beam which offers support,
to lean on when times get hard.
I love you,
Keep it, cherish it as if you were stuck,
crossing a river with a heavy current.
Use it as a stepping stone,
to help make it across treacherous water.
Call me, and I will answer.
I will be that stepping stone, blanket, and beam.
I love you,
For it’s all I have to give you,
and all anyone needs to live,
and to continue living.
When the outside world no longer offers love,
I will.
I love you.

Dear Miriya,
I am touched by your poem ” Nothing else to offer” because of the fact that you talked about love. The way you talked about love was very moving.
One sentence that you wrote that stood out to me was, “I have nothing else to give you,
so it is a warm and comforting blanket” this stood out to me because when you give someone the love they deserve it is a comforting blanket that keeps us wrm and happy.
Thank you for writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because what I read was really moving and touching
