The article “Neandertals hunted cave lions at least 48,000 years ago” was about the first direct evidence of Neandertals killing big cats and the earliest evidence of any hominids killing a large predator.
The importance of this article is recognizing that the neanderthals hunted cave lions and most likely hunted other bigger animals in their time.

In this case this knowledge tells us that neanderthals had very advanced skills for killing larger prey. All they used was a spear unlike what people do now and use firearms to hunt and kill big and small animals.
So in my opinion this is why I feel as though this article is important for people to know about an understand.
Dear Milan,
Your post made me think about what kinds of animals they used to kill back then. And how they managed to do it without guns. Something I wonder is what type of weapons they would use?
Sincerely,
