La Iglesia

I’m the church in Red Hook, Brooklyn  I look over the neighborhood and inside of me. I can hear and see the people praying and singing.  Is fun to watch people doing it and it makes me happy. On the outside, I can see people walking their dogs, and kids playing in the park is fun to watch them playing and having fun.

The Library

The library is one of the best things in the community. It helps you with homework, books you can read, and is a relaxing place if you want to be in silence. it also has public bicycles in the front is you want to take if you want to take a ride. Tables and chairs if you want to sit outside and talk with your friends. In the front has a red poster that says free outdoor wifi if you need you can sit at a little table and watch videos.

Out this place

This is a really bad place for the community and the world.

It is a place without hygiene and with a bad look.  People throw garbage and when it rains there is a bad smell. there to be aware of the planet. keep it clean, recycle more and try not to throw garbage anywhere. For this reason garbage dumps and recycling were created to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the community and throughout the country.

Dear Lugieli,
I am excited about your writing about your neighborhood because you describe the library as one of the best things in Red Hook.
One thing I learned from your community that stood out for me is that the library is a “relaxing place if you want to be in silence.” I think this is interesting because it is one important thing in the community: not only can you be in silence, but you can also use the computers.
Your writing connects to my own experience. For me, the library is also a community asset because it also is for studying and focusing.
Thanks for your work on Youth Voices. I look forward to seeing what you write next because of how you describe the places in Red Hook and how they are an important asset to the community.
