My name is Wendy I was born on December 9th, inside a hospital. I am currently living in New York. I have three siblings and I am from Mexico. I am a middle child and like the color red. My Grandparents were also from Mexico. I’ve also lived in an apartment my whole life but not the same one at least. My past school was called the Family Life Academy Charter School. I used to play soccer and I’ve also taught a class already.

In school, I like to learn about music and learn how to make it. I have a guitar class and I also have a guitar at home to practice on. I like to join programs where you could have fun but learn at the same time. For example in the theater club, you can communicate with other grades and you can also get more creative while doing everything that needs to be done for backstage. Outside of school I enjoy going to my old school and teaching the younger ones more about soccer and music. This also helps my old school by having a past student giving them advice of what they should and shouldn’t do. I am good at teaching and i learned how to be that way by having patience. I learned to have patience by having a younger sister who is very hard to deal with.

One question I strongly agree with was whether education is important to me. Education in my family is important because it would help me get farther in life. It is also something that some people don’t have and an experience to take advantage of. Having an education can also help me in the future and can help me get a job. One claim that I strongly disagree with was if I wasn’t going to make it out of college. I strongly disagree with this because I know that I will make it out of college. I am confident that I will make it all the way. I feel like giving up isn’t my thing and that I am a person who will push myself even more no matter how hard it can get. I strongly disagree with that comment because in my future I can see myself graduating from college. I also look forward to the future and know that the future doesn’t create itself, we create the future.

Dear Wendy
I am impressed with your BIO, “Who’s Wendy Rivera” because I loved the determination and confidence you displayed in it.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “ am a person who will push myself even more no matter how hard it can get.” I think this is great because it shows how determined you are to overcome any challenges that come your way.
Another sentence that I liked was: “One claim that I strongly disagree with was if I wasn’t going to make it out of college. I strongly disagree with this because I know that I will make it out of college. I am confident that I will make it all the way.” This stood out for me because not many people have this strong of a belief that they will make something happen, these lines really showed off your confidence and willpower, which are both very hard things to have.
I relate to how you feel strongly about education, and agree with your view on it.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because your writing is very upbeat and interesting, and I enjoy reading about your point of view on topics.
