  • Dear Jose,
I am impressed by your post, “Are We Ready for Electric Cars?” because you mention how manufacturers are going electric because of climate change. I also agree with you on the fact that electric cars remain expensive. For example, Teslas are electric and they cost around 60 thousand dollars and that is for the basic model.

Do Sports help your Mental health relief or add to it?

In the article "Raising Their Voices" (Upfront, Gross, 2021) I learned that we all may know sports are a fantastic way to get yourself involved and out there. They serve to distract you from anything going on around you....

    • Dear Yaslin,
I am impressed by your post, “Do Sports help your Mental Health Relief or Add To it?” because you mention how athletes use sports to get distracted and have some fun. I also agree with you on the fact that the sports can sometimes get overwhelming. Sometimes it is more stressful to actually play. No days off is something that all atheltes I am sure have heard before which is why I relate to it.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “I strongly believe that sports indeed do help me as much as they kill me mentally. As an athlete myself I struggle greatly with time management.” I completely agree that they can kill me mentally. I also struggle with time management but I try my best to do it as best as possible. Not sleeping enough is also a big aspect of all this because without good rest than you might not be able to last.
Thanks for your amazing writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because your topic was interesting as well as your choice of words!
      Jose

    • Dear Yaslin,

As a teacher and mom it worries me to think about our youth being so busy they don’t have enough time to sleep! I’m so sorry you have experienced such stressful moments in your life. I will say I remember being pretty stressed when I was in high school. I was so busy and stressed in high school that when I started college it felt like a relief! One of the strategies that did make high school more manageable was doing my homework on the bus and while I waited for my event in track or cross country. Is that something you are able to do? It must get complicated when we teachers assign work that is online. What strategies have you found to be helpful?

Yaslin commented on the post, I Hear you!

    Dear Karyn,

I am amused with your post, “I Hear You!” because I too agree with idea of people listening to you vs. them understanding. I feel like there is an extent to where people can try to understand what you are saying, but never will they be in the same situation as you, and that’s where it becomes tricky.

  • Dear Evan,
I am impressed by your post, “Are People Happier at a Desk Job or Labor Job?,” because you mention how they both have the same amount of happiness in their work, but desk job workers are more likely to complain. I think that because they are staying in one spot for their whole job they get tired of sitting there.  But because those who…Read More
