    Dear Josh,

I am touched by your poem, “Final Goodbye”. Your post made me think about how we need to spend the most possible time with those we love because at the end of the day they won’t be with us forever. We don’t really know how much time we have left with those we love so we just got to spend the most time we have with them while we st…Read More

    • Dear Yahir,
Your post made me think about guns and how most firearm owners are using weapons for protection. But some firearm owners are using them to shoot and it caused strict rules on firearms. Something I wonder is why are there so many shootings and why are guns being put to blame?
      Sincerely,
      Jason Sanchez

    • Dear Yahir,
Your post made me think about the views of the people on the opposite side of the gun control spectrum. It gives me insight on why people against gun control would be against it. They choose to oppose it as they believe that the gun laws would strip away their protection. Something I wonder is, is there a way to satisfy both sides of the gun control spectrum?

      Sincerely,
      Jason Ocegueda

    • Dear Yahir,’
Your post made me think about the different views people posses over the matter of owning a gun. It also made me think if in the future should I own a gun in order to be able to protect my household in the future. Something I wonder is well there be a time where America is safe enough that we don´t need to own a gun.

      Sincerely,
      Roberto Valenzuela

    • Dear Yahir,
Your post made me think of the different perspectives of those who own firearms in America. It makes me think of the possible reasons as to why I would possibly need a firearm in the future. Something I wonder is what could be possible solutions to prevent mass shootings while also giving people the freedom of owning a firearm.

    Gun Violence Statistics

    • Dear Yahir,’
Your post made me think that we really need background checks since 54% of deaths are due to suicide and 43% are homicides. I also thought that it was crazy that so many people had died due to suicide in 2021. Something I wonder is what are you going to do if the government decides not to do anything about gun violence?

      Sincerely,
      Roberto V.

    • Dear Yahir,
Your post made me think about background checks possibly being a big step toward reducing gun violence based on the statistics provided in your post. It is sad to see that most cases of deaths from guns are from suicide which tells a lot about how society has very poor mental health nowadays. Something I wonder is whether adding restrictions or background checks would prevent more suicides.

      Sincerely,
      Kevin M.

    • Dear Yahir,
Your post made me think that there are other ways to prevent shootings by affecting the people and not affecting the guns. One example is educating people on avoiding dangerous situations. Another example given is having programs promoting positivity. Something I wonder is how much it changes violence.
      Sincerely,
      Miguel Agabo
