Dear Sara,
Your post made me think about the possibilities for why our current president, Joe Biden, does not allow for safety for immigrants coming from Mexico. It may be that he, as well as many other, believe in the discriminatory stereotypes Mexicans are often labeled with. It may also be because of the so-called issue of overcrowding/overpopulation. Something I wonder is what issues would arise from allowing these immigrants safety in another country. Just what justifies this treatment?
