    i love my skin....

This is my body… my body came a long wayin the eye of everybody else watching it.Being judged about being “too grown for your age” by the way clothes fit on me as it flows so gracefully. As I developed to be who I...

    • This is a beautiful poem, and it sounds like you are comfortable in your own skin. I’m sorry about your inner turmoil, and how people treated you, but seeing that you have accepted who you are is amazing. Wonderful writing.

This is a beautiful poem you made, like what @Sammy said the “i.m sorry about your inner turmoil, and how people treated you” but it is good that you see and accept yourself.

    • Dear Samyah,
I really loved your poem! I loved how it went from you having anxiety to you loving and accepting your body!

    • Dear Samyah,
I am impressed, with your poem, “I love my skin…” because I as well can relate to this. There are moments where I wish I could change my skin and figure but there are also times where I am glad to be the way I am. I believe your poem is an amazing way to express both anxiety and confidence.
One sentence that you wrote that stands out to me is “I love my skin…My skin makes me and breaks me”.I think this is beautifully put because everyone deals with these struggles yet it is rarely said. This is because many get judged for either being too confident but being too anxious.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because I like the way you create your poems and hope you continue. I would like to see what other creative writing you can come up with.

    • I really loved your poem and how vulnerable you were in it. Learning how to be comparable in your own skin and body is very important and I am glad you finally got to that point. It was very beautifully written.

    • Samyah, I really love how vulnerable you were in this poem. I think that learning how to be comfortable in your own body is a very important concept for everyone. I think this poem is a great way to express the complicated emotions that come with learning to love yourself.  It was very beautifully written and I look forward to reading more from you.

    • Your writing is very powerful Samyah! I really like how you have overcome obstacles to grow to love your skin. It seems that even when the world may be against you, you are sure to stay strong and true to yourself. You have inspired me to continue to do the same. Thank you for sharing your story.

    • I think this poem is very powerful and full of a lot of passion and meaning. I like your title and I think it was very unique and different from your peers and I really enjoyed that aspect of it as well. I think that you have a story and that writing was your way to share and I really liked it and it was very inspiring, thank you!!

    • This poem is so pretty! I like how your worded this and I can feel the emotions through the screen!
