    • This is really interesting! It’s kinda scary how they prepare meat before it reaches grocery stores and how it is usually considered “healthy” in our society.

    • I couldn’t agree more. Industrial meat farming is truly a terrible thing. They are pumping out massive amounts of nasty meat that Americans blindly devouring and it’s wrecking the environment at the same time. I think the book Eating Animals by Jonathan Foer would really help you out with your research. It talks about the tole industrial farming takes on the earth, the process of raising and preparing the meat, and especially the horrible conditions the animals are living in and their gruesome slaughter. If you ever want to take a look at it let me know because I’ve got it checked out from the library right now.

    • Samantha,
What you have to say is an important issue that we as a society needs to address before it gets taken out of hand, which it seems like it is already to that point. My favorite point that you made would have to be how much water we are using into slaughtering animals– it is ridiculous and we need to come up with an alternative. Something that I learned that I never knew about is that they mix different cows into a hamburger.

Thank you very much for educating me! Can’t wait to hear what else you come up with!

  • I enjoyed reading your post because it is something you don’t see everyday as a discussion topic. It caught my attention because I have never even heard of trigger warnings before I read your post. I like how you gave specific examples about how a trigger warning on a post could help people avoid being triggered. It also made me think about how…Read More

    • I completely agree with you in that we as a country, need to take measures to help preserve the water resources in India. We need to come up with solutions to assist people in the rural areas of India. The question is how, when, who, and with what resources?

    • Well done. I agree with you that we as a country, society, and world, need to support one another. Your research about India is good, and we should try to start there, but I am sure there are other places that are in need too. With the world’s ever growing population, we need to provide for the future generations. Good job!

    • Dear Samantha,
I agree with you that we have to help India. There is many other places not just rural parts of India that only have access to contaminated water. The country of India should help its inhabitants to have a source of clean water. In my opinion I feel like governments and presidents of different parts of the world should help India as well as other places. As a nation we should help me each other not be greedy because we have clean water that other people don’t have. We as people need to do the best to help each other. I enjoyed your post it was really informative and interesting.

  • This is topic. I can definitely see the changes being made to the basketball world today. As a basketball player I like to ply the more traditional game of basketball where you score from anywhere because thats the point of the game: to score. I like the idea the new research is bringing in but it also has its faults. What if your team or best…Read More
