Dear Manuel,
Thank you for your comment. I agree, I was also intrigued when I read that people believe that the mass shooting in Uvalde Texas was staged. I think this is a ridiculous conspiracy theory. However, it illuminates the fact that sources such as TikTok should not be trustworthy. We live in a society full of gullible youth individuals…Read More

Dear Omar
I was interested in your article “Can you trust what you see on TikTok?” because since this app has a lot of users, it is capable of influencing individuals with false or inaccurate information. As a TikTok user, I myself get exposed to information that I may not realize is untrue. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “ Other posts regarding the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine have also been considered problematic.” I think this is significant because serious topics surfacing around social media like this can overcomplicate the situation or make it a bigger deal than it really is. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because many people do not realize that their information is based on an untrusted source. Many people now use Tiktok to find information instead of using trusted sources for factual evidence.

Julio,
I think your belief that our government should ban/limit alcohol is controversial, but I completely agree. If I’m in the U.S. government I take a look at the number of deaths related to alcohol abuse or consumption, which is a very high number, and take away the cause of the issue, alcohol. Personally, I do not think alcohol is a…Read More

Jimmy,
Based on my understanding I would say it leans more toward Ukrainian regionalism as well because of how the role of Russia is involved in the history of the concept. From what I know, regions in Ukraine interpret the role of Russia, the Russian language and culture, and relations with the city of Moscow differently. Economic elites in…Read More

Dear Omar, what interested me about your post was how you mentioned that a source on TikTok mentioned that a texas school shooting was staged and it didn’t really happen.
I also believe that tik tok shouldn’t be a trusted source because the youth of this generation belive anything on social media platforms as it looks “trust worthy” and this is a major issue because it can lead to some serious significant problems in the future, Thank you for sharing this post I look forward to seeing what other post you have in the future.
