One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is ¨some benefits of learning how to be a leader are that it gives you better problem-solving skills. They must look at all the variables, opportunities, and resources available and find a creative solution.” I think this is real because sometimes it hard for people to open up for them to be in a better place with others

Mynor, I love that you bring your own personal reasons as to why you think leadership skills are important in your life. That makes the reading feel personal and makes me believe that it is super important to gain leadership skills at a young age. I do agree with you, especially in this day and age we all strive to be our own boss in a sense. We don’t want to be under the thumb of some corporate CEO. I really like your post about the importance of leadersihp. I think no one can achieve great things without having someone work with them. And you also gave example in your personal life to illustrate your point about why should we learn leadership skills. It will help us succeed in professional world and family. Moreover, it is more important when you are trying to start a business.

Your own personal touch on why leadership skills are important is very relatable. At some point everyone wants to be their own leaders but some lack the skills or understanding for not only being a leader for themselves but others. This is an important realization for people to come upon especially depending on what they want to do and be in the future.

Its good that you know what leadership is and what it means to you. Knowing that there is people that you can look up to is great. in life we all know someone who is our leader. Leadership can mean many things to different people and to me is to be someone who guides someone to the right way. One sentence you wrote that stands out to me is, “If we focus on developing these skills from a young age then I think that it would greatly benefit our younger generation to have a better mindset of what they can and can not do.” I think this is very true and important because if we begin to educate the younger generation on how to become leaders they will grow up with that strong mindset of always doing the best things in life to benefit not only themselves but those around them. it teaches them how to set goals for themselves and lead those around them.

Growing up I was the same way. I wanted to be my own person and not be told what to do. I’ve always wanted to be a leader and advocate for others and myself. Being able to lead and have those skills is something you should learn growing up because there are times throughout life where you are going to have to lead whether it be by yourself or with others.
I agree that learning to be a leader helps your listening skills and learning from your mistakes. To be a leader you need to be able to take suggestions and be able to work things through while listening to others opinions. You learn from your mistakes which build you up to be a better leader.

I think it’s awesome that you care about the environment. I have seen the effects of climate change in my home Salt Lake City. In most recent summers, temperatures have been frequently climbing above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, while in the winter average highs are becoming more common in the 40 degrees Fahrenheit level rather than the 30s. The Great Salt Lake has also lost a lot of water due to more frequent and intense droughts. Climate change does represent a significance threat to the Earth’s environment and we must do our best to mitigate our carbon emissions. As a society, we must be more accepting towards a society where electric vehicles and other types of green energy is the norm. This will be a gradual transition so we won’t really notice it too much but eventually I think all of us will be forced. I also think that when humans notice danger and become more fearful, they are more inclined to take action so that is reassuring to me and does make me feel a lot better.
