    Traveling back in time

In the article, “ Historical Time Travel” (upfront) I learned that now people can get a glimpse of Greek history without leaving home. Microsoft and the Greek government have partnered to digitally preserve the city of Olympia. It is...

    • Dear Monica,
I am hopeful by your post “Traveling back in time” because this technology that ‘preserved’ the city of Olympia in the modern world has the potential to evolve and create something extraordinary. It would be amazing if this technology can preserve cities or locations that were further back in time than the days of Olympia. One sentence you wrote that stands out to me was when you said that this was a “great game because people can have a little taste of how it (Olympia) looked 2,000 years ago. I think this pretty much sums up how I felt when reading this post. This technology will probably be further developed and eventually become revolutionary. Thank you for writing, I look forward to seeing what you write next because it seems you have a good perception of choosing what topics to write about. I learned a lot from this post as I had no idea this kind of technology was being developed.

  • Dear Fatima:

I am impressed by your post,” Suffering from Food Insecurity,” because this is something that I lot of people go through everyday. I think people should not face this food insecurity, because is really difficult to continue your day without any food (energy) in your body.

Should school offer to the students take a nap during school time?

    • Dear Monica:
I am intrigued by your post, Should school offer to the students take a nap during school time?”, because when students have the chance to take a nap they return to class less tired. Many students may sleep late because of school work and may wake up early and that is why they are tired when they go to school. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “In the document they mention, “ Las Cruces students are allowed to use the pods- comfortable chairs with movable canopies for privacy for 20-minute snoozes when they’re feeling especially tired, before heading back to class.” I think this is interesting because when students get rest they aren’t tired afterwards. I also think that students should be offered to take naps in school so they won’t sleep in class.

    • Dear Monica,

I am very interested on your post, “Should school offer to the students take a nap duing school time?”, because it’s amazing how a school in new mexico offers nap time for their students during school hours and how these naps can help refresh a students brain to learn more.

One sentence that stood out to me is: “I think it is an amazing idea because this can help students to take a nap when they are feeling quite tired, and they have the opportunity to do better at school.” I also agree with this opinion because I also think that if students are given an opportunity to rest for a while then they won’t be as tired and feel more freshed and can go back to learning.

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next. Because this was very interesting on how other schools give their students time to nap while others don’t which would be interesting to see if others schools can give their students the time to nap during school hours.

    • Dear Monica:
I am surprised by your post “Should school offer to the students take a nap during school time?” because Many do need sleep in the community for stress. It has rushed many students that they may be with anxiety.

Researchers have said that the students have a difficult time studying for not have enough sleep. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: School in New Mexico, they offered to the students to take a nap during the school time, they offered to take naps during school to address the growing awareness that a lack of sleep of the teens and to have the ability to do well in school.I think this is amazing because not many schools let us sleep in school and gives us in trouble for it.

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because it’s interesting the thought that you have put for Mexico. I never knew that Mexico did let people sleep for more time. But that’s incredible!
      Diana,

    • Dear Monica:
I am very intrigued with your post, Should school offer to the students take a nap during school time?” because having nap time would be a great idea for high schoolers to catch up on sleep and improve their health. By getting more rest, we will be able to focus better and get better grades. Even just 30 minutes of extra sleep could help. With this plan, students will be feeling and looking their best.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “In the document they mention, “ Las Cruces students are allowed to use the pods- comfortable chairs with movable canopies for privacy for 20-minute snoozes when they’re feeling especially tired, before heading back to class. I think this is amazing because most times staff and teachers get mad about it and get us in trouble. Everyone is different, maybe some people have to work to provide for their family.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next.
