    Aliens? Real or not?

In the article, “Searching for U.F.O.s” (Upfront, 2022 subscription required) I learned that the government is taking sightings of UFOs seriously. Also, I learned that most of the government wants to know what is out there and if there...

    Dear Jonathan :
I am surprised by your post, “Dying behind bars,” because I never thought about how people really die in prisons because they get no more chances to live. Also, I never realized how draining and sad it might be to die in a prison or live your life inside of one.

One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “He is aware…Read More

    Game time at college

The article “Game time at College” by Beth Perkins (Upfront, 2019) It talks about how colleges could be introducing scholarships for esports gaming and people looking to go to college and still be good t the videogames they play....

    • Dear Luis,

I am baffled by your post,”Game time at college,” because i agree with this, the fact is that gaming is becoming a big part of media, as can be seen through sites such as twitch and youtube. They can give jobs to those that put in work, and are very lucky, while then giving out more work to editors and whatnot. It is something that, whether old people think is a job or not, is and will continue to grow.

Also, I think it’s really cool because people that are really good at gaming can finally be appreciated and follow other dreams you want to pursue” since it is something that can happen compared to the old days back when people used to play with sticks and stones. Although as with many things, only those at the top can make something meaningful of this.

Tanks for writing. I look forward to more since there are a lot of interesting things going on, and hopefully there are interesting opinions had, rather than some boring cookie cutter stuff.

    • Dear luis,
am Impressed by your post Game time at college, because many students should be
getting scholarships because of gaming I feel like it’s a way of distracting and rewarding
them. I feel like sometimes students are stressing out with payments, which could be a
way of getting back to them by doing something they enjoy doing. since some schools are already putting them in their system I feel like other schools should consider putting them In their system for other students as well

one sentences that stood out to me was colleges could be introducing scholars hips for
esports gaming and people looking to go to college because I think it should be a good way of getting a little money or help to maintain a better living for collage or etc.

thank you for your writing i am very well impressed i look forward to seeing your next posts. i really lliked this topic you wrote about because i feel like anyone can realate to gamimg not just college kids . although this was a very great thing to talk about onces again thank you for your time.

    • I love that I am seeing this post! I think that giving scholarships for gaming is long overdue. There are some people out there with a lot of talent that go un noticed. It is a way for people under the radar to get their name out there and also gives gamers a good school/ gaming balance. People with this talent should be recognized for their success and be able to grow through this opportunity. I think you should check out this article about the rise of gaming in colleges. https://athleticdirectoru.com/articles/the-rise-of-collegiate-esports-programs/

  • Dear Aaliyah:
I am surprised by your post, “The Colorado River is at Risk,” because i never heard of the colorado river. Also i want to know what happening to the water.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “The river traces from the beginning to the Rocky Mountains and ends in Mexico.” I think this is crazy because the colorad…Read More

I am 50/50 with your post, “Driving Drunk,” because yes many people lose their lives to this and this should be looked into I think having to have a breathalyzer test every time we want to go somewhere or do something would be pretty bad. For example what if you are just going down the street to the store or what if someone is seriously hurt…Read More

I was amazed by how many groups of people started fighting against it

I was surprized about how big of an impact it had on other communities

I was cheerful that the judge knew that separating them would make them dislike eachother

I was surprised that they didn't even care whether they spoke fluent English

I was surprised that even if they had land they didn't gain any sort of respect or anything they got treated the same

I was surprised that they were actually able to buy land and wouldn't be restricted from that.

I agree with this because they treated the like they were nothing and like they weren't equal to them

I agree with this because it's crazy how an administrator would say this.

I was surprised to find out that the Mexicans got the worst of everything even the building were in bad shape they were run down.
