    • Hi Laya,
I really liked your essay especially the really big words you used. I think your book ties well into the meaning of family and how it is an American creed which you do a good job of explaining. I also enjoyed your opinion on family being so important in one’s life and the ability to overcome obstacles within it.

    • Hi Laya!
I really enjoyed reading your post. That book seems really interesting, and I’d love to read it sometime. I thought that you did a really good job connecting the book to the essential question. I think you brought up interesting points about morals and loyalty to your family as well. From your writing, I am assuming that Lake chose to bring back someone who wasn’t in her family, and that her family shamed her for this because they wanted her to bring back someone else. What do you think about this? Do you think she made the wrong decision or do you think it doesn’t matter because it’s her choice? Can’t wait to hear back from you!

      • Hi Sloane! Thanks for commenting on my post and helping me continue my journey towards youth voices fame. It’s true that Lake wanted to bring back someone outside her family, but I don’t want to spoil much. I think it is a hard decision but it truly is her choice on who she wants to resurrect. Thanks again and have a good day. -laya

        • Hi again Laya!
You’re so welcome for helping you reach your goal of stardom. You truly deserve it with the intricate and complex analysis you wrote on the novel. It’s very considerate of you to not want to spoil the book. Hope you have a marvelous weekend.
          Best wishes,
          Sloane

    • Hi Laya! I agree with your opinion on people’s behavior affect by their parents and surroundings. Also you did a good job connecting your opinion to the book and your resources, especially the data and the quotation you used to explain your opinion and set the evidence. It is good for me to learn from you. Your post give me a lot new ideas about the family that I didn’t realized before. Thank you for your sharing, I really like it. And hope you enjoy your weekend!

    • Hi Laya,
I agree with you. I believe that family is a special existence for us, and it will affect us a lot. The family can also provide us with a warm harbor. You have well linked your comments to books and resources and provided a lot of convincing evidence.

    • Laya,
Your essay does a great job of depicting how complex families are. There is something that bonds us together no matter how many struggles we may have to face. I think your book also brought up an important issue. Who’s needs come first: your own or that of the greater good? I wonder who you would have brought back to life given the chance! I hope to see more writings from you as I like the way you explore multiple venues of a topic.

    • Hi Laya,
I like your post because it explains the true meaning of the love we have for our family. The “This is Not The End” book you reference sounds interesting and I may want to read it. The way you describe what you learn helps me see what I learned. Something sad is that we have to experience losing everything to truly understand our love we have for others. I think we should already have a good feel of how we feel towards those closest towards us. • Hi Laya, your post was great and I agree I believe that family is everything. Family is always going to stick next to your side through thick and thin. Also family plays a huge role on the development of a kids life, such as single parent kids has a higher risk of getting into drugs or gangs. Here is a like related to your topic. https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2015/12/17/1-the-american-family-today/

    • Hi Laya,
I agree with your opinion. Family is important to each of us. The family environment and education also have a certain impact on our development. Just as the survey shows, children of single-parent families are more likely to commit crimes. The book “This is not the end” you referenced is also very interesting. Your post made me understand the importance of family to us. Thank you for sharing.
