I am interested by your article ” Everyone should be equal” in reference to Childish Gambino’s music video. This interested me because the words you are saying are inspiring and i agree with everything that you’re saying.
One sentence that you wrote that stands out for me is ” This helps show that anybody and anyone can be shot no…[Read more]

My name is Lourdes Argueta. I attend Oakland Unity High school. I agree with you on the fact that nowadays violence is being used for almost anything. Including the fact that many people go through many types of violence on a day to day basis and we need to change that. I was wondering what made you want to write about this song and topic?
I am excited about your post “Childish Gambino Motivates Us Against Violence” because i like this topic very much and enjoy speaking about it. Also i enjoyed reading your different thoughts and perspective on this subject.
One sentence that stands out for me is “There are many problems that we do not speak on”. I think this is interesting because its a known fact that most of the things that happen daily in the United States are rarely ever talked about by anyone including the government.
Another sentence that i liked was “there are problems we go thru in our society that should be handled properly” because most of the problems in the US today arent handled as they should be instead they are responded with a form of violence
Your post ” Childish Gambino motivates us against violence” reminds me of something that happened to me one time. For example i as beaten by the cops because i chose to not respond to them. i was brutally beaten by the very police that want to protect and serve my community.
Thanks for your writing. i look forward to seeing what you write next because you had some interesting facts and ideas which will make me wanna come back
I am intrigued by your post “Podcast about domestic violence,” because the title caught my eye and it motivated me. I can relate to the problems your speaking on but also it could motivate many others going through similar struggles.

My question would be Why do so many men find violence appropriate? Domestic violence is violence or abuse by one person to another in a domestic setting. Violence shouldn’t be tolerated at all. Different typ
I am intrigued by your post “Something Has To Be Done,” because the title was catchy and it moved me. I can relate to the problems your speaking on but there is a few things i don’t entirely agree with.

I was always curious about who created the planet earth. What was here before human beings were present. Everyone typical way of thinking is common and off rip most people would say god created the planet earth.
I am happy with your poem, “Desiring God’’, because you talk about true things that people say and think.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “I was always curious about who created the planet earth. What was here before human beings were present.” I think this is interesting because I also want to know about that question that you have i want to know what was here before humans or before the first animals.
Another sentence that I liked was: “I was always so curious as to how did god start the planet earth.” This stood out for me because how GOD create or start this planet by himself, I always thinking if someone help him or somethings like that.
Your poem reminds me of something that happened to me. One time I was reading a article and it was a part about god and I read there in the article was talking about that if god is real because never a person see god and many things and questions about god.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because your writing is amazing I also love your writing.
This is a youth-powered social network that was started in 2003 by a group of teachers from local sites of the National Writing Project.
We merged several earlier blogging projects. We have found that there are many advantages to bringing students together in one site that lives beyond any particular class. It's easier for individual students to read and write about their own passions, to connect with other students, comment on each other's work, and create multimedia posts for each other. Further, it's been exciting for us to pool our knowledge about curriculum, connected learning, and digital literacies.
If being part of such a community makes sense to you, we invite you to join us. We welcome all youth and any teacher interested in having students publish online and participate in the give and take of a social network like Youth Voices.
