    • Jose – I’m so glad that you posted this. It sounds like you are really close to your family and take a lot of pride in that, as you should. I’m proud of you for finishing and sharing a little bit about the things and people who are important to you with this YouthVoices community.

    • Dear Jose,

I am proud about your post “Jose Rodriguez Name-Memoir” because your were brave enough to share the information about your name because is that was me it would be hard for me to share that information. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is “ my first name Jose, I was named after my grandpa my dad’s father”. This standed out o me because most people are named after a person of their family or maybe because their parents heard it from another person and that they liked it and then they choose it for you. So that was why it standed out to me. Another sentence that I liked was “A name really common Jose I hear so I turn around but many times I’m not the one being called so it’s kind of embarrassing sometimes”. I liked this sentence because it connects to me because whenever they say my name or this other girl that has the same name  as me we both would turn around and it would be very confusing. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because you had some interesting writing.

    • Jose, Thank you for post this post. I really liked the incorporation of your name to tell us a little bit about yourself. I can tell from your post that family is a very important thing to you. That caring someone’s name may be a burden to represent it well but a blessing to having been named by such great people in your life. I really enjoyed this post and hope you continue to share more about yourself and family, thank you.

    I’m stubborn as hell

    So stubborn,

I don’t want to do what you say,

    I’ll argue,

I’ll argue until I win the wrong

    • Dear Jose,

One sentence that you wrote that stands out to me is “Why I’m stubborn as hell because I don’t want to agree with others Why I’m stubborn as hell because I can be like a wall”. I think this is a strong line because you compare your self to something that is hard to get pass threw and people who are stubborn get their way there everything no matter if they are right or wrong. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next.

    • hey Jose,
I like how you yourself know that you are stubborn. I like how you said ” I do not want to agree with others” I can really connect to this because for me it is either the my way or the highway. I would get it if people saw this a you being difficult but I would see this as being strong. I do not think that being stubborn is a bad thing I think it’s actually a good thing because that way you have different views

    • Dear Jose,
I think that this member you have written is very strong and reflective. I am surprised as to how reflective and open you are about yourself and it is interesting to see. Reading this about you makes me wonder if there is a reason you have become stubborn. when you write, “I’ve become an asshole, I no longer care,” I hope that I doesn’t stay true for long, and that there are things you do care for. Not all arguments have to be bad, and its okay to be wrong sometimes. All in all, i truly thought that your piece of work was amazing!
