Dear MiAngle,
I really like your writing because it makes a lot of sense and you gave so many pieces of evidence/ facts. A sentence that really stood out to me was “Kneeling doesn’t effect how the team plays it might affect their paycheck but that’s a risk that they’re taking for something they believe in.” I like this one because people don’t agree with certain decisions but it’s still a risk your going to have to take in sports/ and in general.

Do They Compare?
- October 17, 2017
Dear MiAngel,
I am shocked about your writing, “Do They Compare?”, because I’ve never read an article about something that makes so much sense. There’s hella people that write and make no sense at all but, the way you write really interested me into reading more. One sentence you wrote that stood out to me was, “Kneeling doesn’t effect how the team plays it might affect their paycheck but that’s a risk that they’re taking for something they believe in.” I think this is amazing because it’s true, even if a player decides they don’t want to do something they don’t believe in (like kneeling) is a choice they’re gunna make. Regardless if people think it’s not right, the player will still be the same player and they’re still gunna make money.Another sentence that shocked me was ” everyone knows about the “national anthem(white version)” but no one knows the “Black National Anthem” by James Weldon Johnson…how many “americans” do you think are going to stand and put their fist up? Do you think Donald Trump is going to stand and put his fist up?” This part of your writing is what really put me to think, it’s true and it sucks that “Americans” aka Caucasians want us to believe and kneel for what they believe in, but if the scenario switched, I bet almost no one would want to believe in what we people of color believe in. Your writing reminds me of something that happened to me. One time I was forced to do something if I wanted to go inside a restaurant. Because I’m a citizen and I didn’t do it, much like the football players didn’t kneel down in the national anthem. If an immigrant wanted to get into the restaurant, it sucks because they would have to do it or else they would probably get deported. All just because they want to eat at a restaurant. Anyways, thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because I love your writing and I love reading about sports.
