The topic for my 30 second hook was Police Brutality, and before I uploaded this video I did like five more because I couldn’t stop myself from laughing. I think that my tone was good and I was having a good eye
The two videos I watched was “TED’s Secret Great Public Speaking” and “Good & Bad examples of Oral Presentation”. I think in the video of understand he wanted us to understand that we need to build our c

This is great information. i had no idea about some of the things you said, it’s always great to learn something new every day and thank you for sharing this genetic engineering info, it really helped me learn about genetically modifying not only DNA but also the food we eat.

I am interested in post because GMOs in food always caught my attention. I want to see how fast or slow these GMO foods grow.
One thing you said that stands out for me is: “The mandarins ” Cuties ” are also genetically modified and this is a great example of how with genetic engineering you can change the characteristics for example the size, because if you pay close attention they are always the perfect adorable size and don’t forget the perfect color and taste” I think this is interesting because when i see regular oranges, they are ugly and stuff but when i see the cuties, they’re cute and clean with no marks.
Your post reminds me of something that happened to me. One time i seen a stack of small potato’s that cost $6.00 and then i seen a pack or big flawless potato’s for half the price.
Thanks for your project. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because i want to find out the effect that GMO foods have on humans.
Your post is significant and it is understanding. I am interesting with your idea of gmos and your opinions on what gmos are and what they can do. I’m not a big fan of gmos because honestly I feel is that it would be better to have crops grown naturally and healthy instead of our crops being modified and produced in a lab by scientintist. I think it should be done the right way.

This is a youth-powered publishing platform that was started in 2003 by a group of teachers from local sites of the National Writing Project.
We merged several earlier blogging projects. We have found that there are many advantages to bringing students together in one site that lives beyond any particular class. It’s easier for individual students to read and write about their own passions, to connect with other students, comment on each other’s work, and create multimedia posts for each other. Further, it’s been exciting for us to pool our knowledge about curriculum, connected learning, and digital literacies.
There are over 8,000 posts and over 13,000 comments by young people on the site on topics as diverse as the American Dream, Shakespeare, and sports as well as original poems and stories.
Youth Voices is a platform for youth to write about their interests, both in school and outside of school: what they are reading, what their hobbies or future careers might be, what they enjoy in their spare time. Like all of us, students follow our national leadership and form opinions. They are also welcome to write about those topics as well.
Youth Voices is fully non-partisan and welcomes youth of all types, from all regions, and with all viewpoints. Educators support youth in writing and thoughtfully responding to each other through the use of commenting guides, using tags to show common interests, playlists to support self-guided inquiry; opinions expressed by writers are their own.
If being part of such a community makes sense to you, we invite you to join us. We welcome all youth and any teacher interested in having students publish online and participate in the give and take of a social network like Youth Voices.
