Fast fashion is cheap, low-quality clothing produced which follows trends and is not intended to last. The problem is that fast fashion is not sustainable or ethical. In order to produce the vast quantities of
This article was amazing! Its clear that you put energy and effort into your research! I think that it was important to bring up the mentioned alternatives, but do you think people will get on board with only buying used clothing? It seems like it would be difficult to get a consensus to do this! Heres a link that may help with further research! (https://www.farmdrop.com/blog/how-to-fight-fast-fashion/)
I really liked your article because I never knew fast fashion was this big of a problem in our world today. I liked how you said there isn’t a perfect solution, but there are a bunch of little things that we can do to make sure that we are supporting ethical and sustainable brands. Here is a link to a website that provides brands that are both ethical and sustainable but still affordable: https://www.thegoodtrade.com/features/fair-trade-clothing .
If we want to shift society away from fast fashion, my first source believes luxury brands need to be the forerunners of the movement towards sustainablity. This source points out that many people will only buy
Sustainability is at the forefront of many people’s mind today. The lack of sustainability in our society is a major concern because it exacerbates climate change. But many do not realize the clothing industry
You make many good points in this post. I think the Oregon bill is a very good idea; it would help many people I know. I think it good you also covered possible solutions, because many people only discuss the issue but not any solutions. Your post is very interesting. I strongly agree with you; college is far too expensive. If you want to delve further into this topic maybe consider looking at this article: chttps://www.businessinsider.com/why-is-college-so-expensive-2018-4 . I think it would also be interesting if you wrote about possible solutions to this problem.
I strongly agree with your argument.
“Another reason why schools should not have authority to limit what you say online because it depends on the time and place it is happening” is a good point because much of what students post online is not done during school hours.
When schools limit our free speech they are denying us our first amendment…[Read more]
This is really interesting! This article ( https://www.procon.org/headline.php?headlineID=005411 ) might also be interesting to you. It mentions the fact that homework is helpful as long as you don’t get too much, which you touched on in your writing. I think both sides have valid points. I’ll be excited to read more.

Estimada Emily :
Estoy muy interesada con su publicación, “Why is climate change bad? What can you do to stop it?
The Global warming is already endangering life on earth. We need to do something to change.
For the climate change, we can do a lot of things.
1. Take public transit, like take the bus.
2. Ride a bike or advocate for bike lanes in your community
3. Car-share. Share you car to others.
You have a very interesting perspective on gun control, and I think you did a very good job of pointing out the valid parts of both perspectives. We as a society really do need to work more on helping people with mental health issues. It’s also good that you support your argument with a lot of facts and statistics.

This is a youth-powered publishing platform that was started in 2003 by a group of teachers from local sites of the National Writing Project.
We merged several earlier blogging projects. We have found that there are many advantages to bringing students together in one site that lives beyond any particular class. It’s easier for individual students to read and write about their own passions, to connect with other students, comment on each other’s work, and create multimedia posts for each other. Further, it’s been exciting for us to pool our knowledge about curriculum, connected learning, and digital literacies.
There are over 8,000 posts and over 13,000 comments by young people on the site on topics as diverse as the American Dream, Shakespeare, and sports as well as original poems and stories.
Youth Voices is a platform for youth to write about their interests, both in school and outside of school: what they are reading, what their hobbies or future careers might be, what they enjoy in their spare time. Like all of us, students follow our national leadership and form opinions. They are also welcome to write about those topics as well.
Youth Voices is fully non-partisan and welcomes youth of all types, from all regions, and with all viewpoints. Educators support youth in writing and thoughtfully responding to each other through the use of commenting guides, using tags to show common interests, playlists to support self-guided inquiry; opinions expressed by writers are their own.
If being part of such a community makes sense to you, we invite you to join us. We welcome all youth and any teacher interested in having students publish online and participate in the give and take of a social network like Youth Voices.
