What stood out to me about Taking Back the Schools was that the police and the FBI tried silencing the Chicano protesters. This stood out to me the most because it made me upset learning that they wanted to act like Chicano’s didn’t have rights, that they could be treated inhumanely. On the other hand I found it amazing how the Mexican-Americans stood up for themselves and would not let themselves be suppressed by violence.

I agree with What stood out to me about Taking Back the Schools was that the police and the FBI tried silencing the Chicano protesters because in the documentary it said that they would send people to infiltrate their groups and they would encourage violence. -
I agree with you completely because they were even going as far as threatening to kill them or beating them up and if it wasn’t for their bravery the future probably would have been a lot more different than it is now.
