    • I am astounded with your post, “How Governments Are Ignoring Violence” because the facts and statistics in the article are interesting and shocking how much gun violence is being ignored in our governments. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is,“Moving on, Wilson Center reported that Brazil had 40,824 homicides in 2022 alone. Additionally, Brazil averaged 111 homicides every single day, meaning that Brazil had one out of every 5 homicides worldwide.” I think this is astonishing because the people in brazil are not safe, with 111 homicides on average everyday, that’s highly fearful for me and I can’t even imagine for the people living there. The lack of government safety within their borders is truly bewildering because they see this is a problem but don’t do anything to fix it even if the problem is this high. Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because reading about governments ignoring violence especially gun violence is interesting. I like learning about the U.S government and other governments with similar problems and how they are either trying to fix it or ignore it like in this article.

    • Dear Charan,’
Your post made me think about how our governments are ignoring gun violence. Another thing that made me think is how Brazil had one out of every 5 homicides worldwide. Something I wonder is when they will stop ignoring the gun violence that is happening in our city.

      Sincerely,
      Julian
