  • Dear Joey, I am blown away by your post, “Me, Myself and I, Three Paragraphs about yours truly” because not only do you wrestle (Which I also did for many years!) But you also managed to turn something sad into something hopeful.
One sentence you wrote that stood out to me is: “Yes, my dad is unfortunately no longer with us, but that’s on his h…Read More

    • Dear Isabella

I’m interested in your story and the way you move yourself because i feel like i can relate to you because i too come from doing bad i had recently just signed myself to school because last school year I had to much going on that I didn’t want to worry about school so i just stopped going. Then I figured that I needed to do something with my life so i got back in school. One sentence that you wrote that stood out to me was when you said “ I honestly don’t know how I’m already a senior. I don’t know how I made it this far. I don’t even know if I’ll graduate. From doing drugs to drinking to shoplifting, I’ve been through a lot. But it has shaped me into the mature person I am now” because like i said i can relate and because I never thought I’d become a senior either and i honestly don’t know if ima be able to finish. Thanks for writing. I look forward to see what you write next.

    • Isabella,

Your story was interesting to read as I am also a senior in high school. It is difficult to balance athletics, academics, extracurricular activities and social life as a high schooler when it feels as though time is running out. Although you may feel that you have ruined your grades, and therefore your academic future, I believe that the person you have formed to become through your many experiences will present you as a well-rounded person.
One section that stood out to me was “I honestly don’t know how I’m already a senior. I don’t know how I made it this far. I don’t even know if I’ll graduate.” As I face finals and the second semester of my senior year, there are a lot of unknowns. However, I believe that it is important to focus on the growth and look in the positive direction. After all, you made it this far.
Good luck on your journey. I hope to read your story again soon.

    • Bella,
I don’t know you but your story enthralled me. I found it extremely relatable because I have lived a life very similarly but here in Utah! I’m sorry to hear that your life is in shambles but I know that it will get better if you work hard.

      Sincerely Ben

  • Dear Tomas,
I am persuaded by your essay, “The Mass Shooting Epidemic”, because it really opens my eyes about how the real world REALLY is. It shows me that life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies.
One sentence you wrote that stands out to me is: “Actually, in 2019 alone, there have been 283 mass shootings in the U.S. (according to data from…Read More
