• In my research project, I am now done with my annotated bibliography, in which I cited the websites and print sources I used to research my issue. After citing the sources, I wrote a short summary about each

I completely agree that the people who caused this mess should be held accountable. For too long those in power like politicians have gotten away with careless and costly decisions they made which hurt many other people. Something should be done about the Flint water issue and it should be done now.

  • Deepu, I agree that there is an unreasonably high standard of achievement set for high schoolers to be considered an intelligent and successful member of society. However, I do not understand how a student who is “intellectually capable of the workload” in high school cannot not achieve good grades, maybe if you elaborated more as to why that is,…[Read more]

  • Very interesting take on how kneeling is focused towards Trump rather than the past reasons stated.

The Ensuring Patient Access and Effective Drug Enforcement Act was passed by unanimous vote in the house and senate, and later signed into law on March 19, 2016 by president Obama. Now, this sounds like a

      Fritch,
This essay was very compelling and convincing. I had no idea about the act you spoke about or about the swift movement through the houses. Not only was the subject interesting, your writing was great. The use of diction in the piece was very good and really helped emphasize the importance of what you were trying to convey. I agree with you about all the things you said about lobbyists and your argument against them. I feel as though they were initially meant to be helpful yet ended up bringing more harm than help.

    • It’s great that you’re talking about something that is concerning. Your diction was very professional. I think lobbying in and of itself is okay, but I agree that greed should never outweigh human health.

    • Fritch,
Great essay! It is really informative and interesting; I had no idea about the act that opened up this topic. Your diction and writing is really professional and sophisticated which makes this easier to read. I agree with everything touched upon in this essay, especially about the lobbyists. I would love a follow up or a deeper investigation of this topic in one of your next posts, because this topic is really interesting and more people need to know about it.

  • If you flip through the news channels on tv, you will probably notice at some point, some one talking about how someone else did something to offend another person. Or, if you log onto to twitter or facebook or

Deepu, I really like the word choice here, I think the word journey has many meanings besides just the description in the dictionary. To be honest I feel lost with different things every week, from school to doing everyday chores. I feel like being confused is part of human nature and that is just part of the long journey of life.

Deepu, I really like the word you chose, it is a word with many meanings even though it only has a few in the dictionary. I felt the same way entering high school and to be honest I feel lost multiple times every week with different things. I think it is human nature to be confused, especially when entering a new setting like high school.

  • The way you connected the meaning behind the word you chose was brilliant, and I never realized how many different meanings there were for one seemingly unimportant word. How did you decide on the word set though? It is such a random choice but I really like what you did with it.

I remember someone telling me “employers know whether to hire you within the first thirty seconds of meeting you”. I always thought that was a little exaggerated, but thinking about it now, I realize that phrase may be more our than I had ever thought.

  • After seeing all of your threads Joseph, I was quite intrigued by the issue of world hunger, so I did some quick research just to see if there was anything I was missing. I knew many people around the world did not have enough food to eat everyday, and when I actually looked at the statistics and facts, and really thought about it, I realized how…[Read more]

In the course of a full day, anything can go wrong, well, can go wrong, so many different things which occur automatically on a daily basis which make modern life possible can and will go wrong from time to time. A car not starting could mean being late to work, which could mean termination, and then another effect after another. But that won’t h…[Read more]
