Sam, this is super interesting and I had no clue that all of those reason you listed are why mars is being looked at for a new home. I can tell you are passionate about this subject and you did a good job of describing what research you did. Good job.
This topic is extremely sad, but I think is important to learn about such awful things that happened so that we can learn from our mistakes. I have no read the book but I want to and I hope you enjoy reading it.
Superfoods offer health benefits that will prolong life and increase the quality of life. Certain foods, such as blueberries, kale, chia seeds, and tomatoes have antioxidants that fight off cancer cells and other
Hi Anna! This is a very interesting topic to me as I have recently started to try to eat healthier. I go to my local tropical smoothie place and have healthy smoothies with kale or spinach, and many different fruits I had never heard of. It is really interesting to me to learn about all the different health benefits that all the fruits and vegetables have. I personally have family members who had Cancer and Alzheimer’s, so if I could reduce my chances by simple having these super foods I would totally eat them everyday. Thanks for informing me on these super foods, it was very interesting to me and I hope to hear more about what you write.
My topic that I am writing my research paper is on Superfoods. Superfoods are a special category of food that provide extra health benefits. An example are blueberries because they are rich in antioxidants.
My topic is on Superfoods. I chose this topic because I think it is an interesting subject. Living in America, which is one of the most obese countries, I was curious as to how to eat healthier. I recently
Talmadge, this is a well written analysis of your research and I can tell you are looking at the subject matter extensively. Just from a personal standpoint, my brother has a mind case of ADHD and he takes medication, a low dosage. His grades have gone up but obviously there’s no way to prove there’s a direct correlation. Maybe in the future of…[Read more]
Louis, I completely agree that he is a direct threat to our Earth. You made a lot of well evidence-based arguements that made your post very strong. Although this is a scary topic, you did a good job at presenting it to raise attention and not to stir the pot. Good work!
I think that you understand the path your paper is heading in and what it is going to take to get you there. You know how to write a research paper and it’s good that you are questioning your thesis because that means that you genuinely care about this paper and this topic. I think that whatever route you choose to take concerning the issues or…[Read more]
Jenessa, I have not read this book, but I definitely want to now. I can see how this book is super relatable for someone in high school and not quiet sure where they fit in. I think your summary and analysis of this book was well written. It was short and to the point, very well done!
Ian, this is very well written and extremely powerful. I also live in a very conservative state that wants or wanted to pass the same bill, which I think is 100% unconstitutional. Everyone has the right to feel comfortable with themselves and the fact that some people deny that right just because they are different really makes me sad and scared.…[Read more]
I think is a good start to what I assume will be an essay revolving around that thesis. I think that you are going to be able to find more than enough evidence on the subject to help defend that thesis. I think a really good step to make in this essay would to talk about history and what progress has or hasn’t been made. I would bring in Supreme…[Read more]
Your argument is extremely valid, and bring to mind some very hard truths. I also was devastated to see Trump win, as he is most definitely the wrong person to hold this position. It saddens me to know that the progress we made with Obama is most likely going to be destroyed. So many people are completely scared for their lives and futures and…[Read more]
I completely agree! Not only would she be the first woman to hold the position of president, she would be the first African American woman to do so. Not only is she extremely qualified for this job, but she already has second hand experience as the commander in chief. She is such a strong, loving, and independent woman who make an excellent…[Read more]
I completely agree! I think that Americans don’t understand the struggle that people face when they flea for their lives to come to America. We live these lives that might be difficult, but we aren’t being persecuted for being ourselves. I think it would be so amazing if we could step into the shoes of refugees and immigrants and try to understand…[Read more]
I like this a lot and I think it has a very good message. Immigration is a very large topic today, and is hotly contended. But I believe that there are still good people out there that bring others that aren’t familiar with the area into their embrace. Something very important is to keep he foundation of what you believe, no matter where you go. I…[Read more]
This is a youth-powered publishing platform that was started in 2003 by a group of teachers from local sites of the National Writing Project.
We merged several earlier blogging projects. We have found that there are many advantages to bringing students together in one site that lives beyond any particular class. It’s easier for individual students to read and write about their own passions, to connect with other students, comment on each other’s work, and create multimedia posts for each other. Further, it’s been exciting for us to pool our knowledge about curriculum, connected learning, and digital literacies.
There are over 8,000 posts and over 13,000 comments by young people on the site on topics as diverse as the American Dream, Shakespeare, and sports as well as original poems and stories.
Youth Voices is a platform for youth to write about their interests, both in school and outside of school: what they are reading, what their hobbies or future careers might be, what they enjoy in their spare time. Like all of us, students follow our national leadership and form opinions. They are also welcome to write about those topics as well.
Youth Voices is fully non-partisan and welcomes youth of all types, from all regions, and with all viewpoints. Educators support youth in writing and thoughtfully responding to each other through the use of commenting guides, using tags to show common interests, playlists to support self-guided inquiry; opinions expressed by writers are their own.
If being part of such a community makes sense to you, we invite you to join us. We welcome all youth and any teacher interested in having students publish online and participate in the give and take of a social network like Youth Voices.
